Faith Like Dandelions

What?

Have you ever tried to get rid of dandelions?

You just can’t do it.

You can dig, and pull, and stomp, and mow, and still…

before you know it,

up pops that sunny, fluffy, cheery head.

Always smiling, always coming back.

Do you know why dandelions are so hard to get rid of?

Their roots.

Those suckers are LONG!

They go deep, digging in to whatever scrap of soil they can find.

They don’t need much, just a little.

A little dirt, a little water, a little sunshine.

If I had faith like a dandelion…

deep roots, grounded in the soil of the Word,

watered with prayers of thankfulness,

smiled upon by the very Son Himself…

We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:37-39

Like I said,

faith like dandelions.

  1. I love it! What a great analogy! Do you write all of these yourself? They are really good 🙂 Aimee

    • I do, Aimee, thanks. I’ve been enjoying taking artistic photos recently, and so many times I can see a “God moment” in them. This is kinda like my own not-so-private prayer journal. Hoping my random thoughts and epiphanies might bless others besides myself.
