Oh! Hello There!

I have to admit that I’ve forgotten you for a while…this thread has been pulled, plucked, repaired and unravelled more times than I can count over the last two years and I’ve lost sight of some of the smaller joys of life (like blogging) all too often.

That’s gonna have to change. Today.

Time to get out of this stinking rut.

Ruts are deceiving things, really. It’s no fun when you first get pulled into one because it took you off track from where you were headed, but if you decide to just go with it, you get fooled into thinking it’s an easy, smooth ride.

The trouble with ruts is it’s easy to stay stuck in them. And the longer you stay in a rut, the deeper it gets. More of a trench than a rut.

I’m pretty sure I’m stuck in a trench right now.

Thank goodness that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) and each day is another chance, a fresh start.

This is the day the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:24)

Can somebody give me a hand out of this trench? I’ve got some living I need to get on with!

  1. Hey, so nice to see you! I know the feeling! Are you still sewing or anything these days?

  2. Hi Malaika–was just thinking about you last week! Life has a way of finding us in a rut, doesn’t it–but I can’t see you remaining there. Praying for you, friend! ♥

    • Love and praying for you Momma! Ruts are a common thing for us to get into, but we also can then give testimony to God’s faithfulness to bring us back to the right path!

    • Always good to hear from you, Carol! I’m missing the Etsy world, but life really is good. I’ve even got a new son-in-law! 🙂

  3. It is easy to get stuck in a rut. You made this post, so you are starting to make your way out. Just, keep going! You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength!
