I have to admit that I’ve forgotten you for a while…this thread has been pulled, plucked, repaired and unravelled more times than I can count over the last two years and I’ve lost sight of some of the smaller joys of life (like blogging) all too often.
That’s gonna have to change. Today.
Time to get out of this stinking rut.
Ruts are deceiving things, really. It’s no fun when you first get pulled into one because it took you off track from where you were headed, but if you decide to just go with it, you get fooled into thinking it’s an easy, smooth ride.
The trouble with ruts is it’s easy to stay stuck in them. And the longer you stay in a rut, the deeper it gets. More of a trench than a rut.
I’m pretty sure I’m stuck in a trench right now.
Thank goodness that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) and each day is another chance, a fresh start.
This is the day the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:24)
Can somebody give me a hand out of this trench? I’ve got some living I need to get on with!
